For Wall Art
Do not display where art gets direct sunlight or UV light.
Wipe with a soft cloth or paper towel.
You may use warm water, mild dish soap, Crystal Simple Green, and most non-abrasive household cleaners but not necessary. If you use these cleaner must wipe with dry cloth/paper towel at the end.
For Serving Board
The uses for our boards are endless! Perfect for serving your favorite cheese, charcuterie and appetizers. They also make the perfect table runner or centerpiece when not in use. Some people even hang their pieces as wall art.
Try to keep out of direct long exposure to sunlight. . Even though the resin is UV stable and resistant it is not proof, yellowing can still occur if left in the sun for long periods of time. Clean with a soft cloth with warm water. Never use abrasive washing products or harsh chemicals.
Epoxy resin is not suitable for hot food, use cold food only.
Wash surface lightly with soft (non-abrasive), damp cloth -use only warm water and a
diluted, mild dish detergent. Pat dry and then let it air dry completely. Apply a thin coat of high-quality food-safe oil (We use this, Howards Butcher Block Conditioner) with your hand or a paper towel and then buff gently with a non-abrasive cloth or paper towel. You can also apply a beeswax product to the wood to protect it.
Most of those products come with instructions for application and best practices.
Never submerge any of your wood pieces in water.
Do not put it in the dishwasher. For best results, apply a thin layer of high-quality food-safe oil before AND after food use.
To keep your wood piece from splitting or cracking, it's important to keep it coated lightly with high-quality food-safe oil and away from excessive heat and sunlight.
