Kīlauea is an active shield volcano in the Big Island (Island of Hawaii). This was taken lastest activity at Kalapana area in October 2018.
Tūtū Pele was making the Big Island bigger. This was the only place lava met the Ocean in the Earth. Unfortunately (for the photographer) lava completely stopped in 2019.
